Where are we now and what do we know to be true? Reality check time.
According to the calendar, we find ourselves on the eve of summer.
According to Covid-rules, we have just been given more freedom!
According to Scripture, we find ourselves in the in-between . . . in between the visible world and life on this earth and the invisible, eternal world of Heaven!

We believers in the Lord Jesus Christ know this is really not our home… we are just passing through, Heaven awaits. Heaven gives us hope and keeps us looking forward while we yet live in this oft-o-so-trying material world.
While we yet live, there are some things that God wants us to know and regularly bear in mind ~ just a few things from Scripture I have apprehended . Ha, I remember standing in a crime-infested park in Long Beach, California, where many of the homeless people I served and ministered to, lived. One sunny afternoon I was talking to ‘Tex’, a Crip actually, about what kinds of Bible teaching was most meaningful to him. He cocked his head to one side and said, ‘Past-uh, keep it real, keep it raw, and keep it relevant.’
So keeping it real, and taking the Word of God personal, I hear God saying a few things to us.
[Please clear your mind a moment and try to comprehend the difference
these truths make to who you are, how much you mean to God,
and how you can trust him.]
When I think of God addressing me, he usually calls me "Child", so . . .
Child, take these things to heart:
~I created you in My image -
Genesis 5.1
~I know every single detail about you because I planned all of them.
Psalm 139.13-16: For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb . . .
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret . . .
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
~I loved you first.
1 John 4.19
~Nothing can separate you from My love for you.
Romans 8.38-39
~As my child, one day you will see me face-to-face.
Revelation 22.4
~If you sin, I will forgive you . . .
1 John 1.9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
~I take great delight in you.
Zephaniah 3.17
~Trust Me. If you do, I will show you the way you should go.
Proverbs 3.5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
~There will be trouble in this world, but trust Me. We win!
John 16.33
~I will give you the strength you need.
Isaiah 41.10: fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
~I am coming again … for you.
John 14.3
~My Word will show you the way you should go.
Psalm 119.105: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
What do we know to be true, Friends? God knows exactly where each of us finds ourselves, what we are facing and what we need. He is not just our source of strength, but also hope and peace and joy.
Yeah, that's a reality check on a little of where we find ourselves and what we know to be true. Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFdrQcfLT9g
